## Suspect Taken Into Custody Following Incident

Law enforcement officials confirmed that one suspect has been taken into custody
in connection with the gunfire. The immediate detention of the individual brought
an end to any active threat inside the facility.

Investigators have not yet publicly released the identity of the detained individual
or details regarding a potential motive. Officials have also not confirmed whether
the suspect was an employee of the postal facility or an external visitor.

## Condition of Victims and Ongoing Inquiry

Paramedics provided emergency medical evaluation and treatment to the individuals
struck during the shooting. Authorities have not yet released the exact number of
victims or official updates on the severity of their injuries.

Because the shooting occurred on federal postal property, local law enforcement
works in coordination with federal agencies, including the U.S. Postal Inspection
Service, to process the scene. Investigators continue to interview witnesses, review
security footage, and collect forensic evidence to establish a clear timeline of
events.

Officials requested that community members stay clear of the immediate area surrounding
the postal office while the active investigation and emergency operations proceed.
Further updates are expected as authorities conclude preliminary scene assessments.
